Kāhealani describes the Spirit of Aloha surviving the Front Street gallery as a hoʻailona — a sign. The image, used in her work with Lori Higgins’ permission, became a reminder to keep aloha present in a time of profound loss.

A sacred reminder to keep aloha present

The Hoʻailona of the Spirit of Aloha

For years, the Spirit of Aloha image has been part of Kāhealani’s teachings, meditations and gatherings, with the gracious permission of Maui artist Lori Higgins.

For Kāhealani, it speaks to the Sacred Bowl of Light, the presence of Hā — the sacred breath of life — and walking in pono with ourselves, one another and the ʻāina.

After the fires of August 8, 2023, the image took on a deeper meaning: a reminder to care for the heart and remain connected with aloha while holding the community’s grief.

Aloha remains.

This spirit of care is the intention behind QuantumWaves. Sacred sound and living prayer offer a space to pause, breathe and remember our connection with one another.

You are invited to bring your own prayer, gratitude or intention into that space. Let the practice meet you where you are, with gentleness and presence.

Mālama Ko Aloha. Keep Your Love.

ʻĀmama ua noa.

The kapu is lifted.

The prayers fly free.

Aloha iā ʻoukou. Paʻa pono.

When we meet in love… we shall be whole.

Mālama Ko Aloha

Keep Your Love

Do not let the circumstances of life take your aloha from you.

A plea to both sides that no matter what obstacles come to Hawaiʻi, keep your love of one another.

Ko Aloha La Ea, Ko Aloha La Ea Keep Your Love, Keep Your Love

To keep your love is to meet yourself and others with care, even in the midst of loss. This is the invitation we carry into every QuantumWaves offering.

Sacred sound in service

QuantumWaves began as an offering for Lahaina’s survivors, first responders and the practitioners supporting the community. Steven Halpern and Kahu Kāhealani brought their lifetimes of work together in service, with love as the guiding intention.

That offering has grown into Expert Frequency Programs: TimeWaver frequency architecture integrated with sacred musical sounds, Hawaiian prayer and the Sacred Hā.

The invitation is now open to anyone seeking a space for relaxation, remembrance and connection. Listen with intention. Breathe, meditate, pray or give thanks. Your conscious participation is part of the experience.

A sacred invocation of remembrance

Beloved One… if these intentions have found you, trust that something ancient within you has already answered the call.

There is nothing you must become.
There is nothing you must earn.
There is nothing you must fix.
Only something holy waiting to be remembered.

No grief has ever extinguished your Light. No fire has burned your soul. No flood has washed away your Divine Essence. Your Sacred Bowl of Light has always remained whole.

Participate consciously

Bring your intention into the experience.

Find a quiet place, settle into a comfortable position and breathe naturally. You may choose to listen in stillness, meditate, offer a prayer or hold a feeling of gratitude.

Notice what is present without asking yourself to feel anything in particular. There is room for quiet, emotion, spaciousness or simply the sound. Let the experience unfold gently.

This is offered as sacred, experiential practice — not as medical or psychological treatment, and never as a substitute for care. If you are struggling after the fires, please also reach for a doctor, a counsellor, or someone who can sit with you in person.

ʻĀmama. Ua noa.

The prayer is freed

You have always belonged.
You have always been held.
You have always been whole.
You have always been Love.
You have always been one with the Infinite.

Breathe once more… receive this blessing… and quietly allow your own soul to whisper: “I remember.” “I Am the I.” “And so it is.”
